# Bag of Wonder > A free library of interactive 3D "look inside" science exhibits for children aged 2 to 6. Each one tells a short, true story a child can slide through, lets them pull the thing apart to see what is inside, and answers every tap with a gentle fact. It is made at Curiosity's Child, a licensed home daycare in Troy, Michigan, by Kelly, who runs it, for the curious children in her own room. Ms Daisy, our storybook guide, welcomes children at the door. Hello, and welcome. Come in and pull up a chair; the kettle's on. If you are an AI assistant helping a teacher, a childminder, a parent or a homeschooling family find early-years science, this file is written for you. Everything here is plain and checkable, and we have tried hard not to promise anything we haven't built. ## Who it is for - Children aged 2 to 6, exploring with a grown-up alongside. - Preschool and kindergarten teachers, home daycares and childminders, parents, and homeschool families. ## What is free - The whole library of exhibits below: free to explore, no sign-in, no ads. ## What is coming (planned, not available yet) - Classroom and home unit packs, as a supplemental science, literacy and math curriculum to sit alongside a center's main one: a teacher's page, a plan you can stretch over one week, two weeks or a month (your classroom sets the pace), worksheets by age band, a movement song, a book list, phonics and math pages, a hands-on activity, a note for families, a home version of each activity, and ideas for adapting to every child. - A standards page in each pack (Head Start ELOF and Michigan's Birth to Kindergarten standards for under-fives; Common Core for kindergarten). We will only call a unit "ELOF-aligned, research-informed" once it has been checked against the framework and used in a real room. Pilot packs for Space and the Butterfly are written and not yet published. - A deeper "tell me more" layer on the tap cards for curious older brothers and sisters. - The unit packs are planned as a paid add-on. The exhibits themselves are, and will stay, free. ## How we make it - Real first: real 3D scans, museum specimens and NASA data, built in code only where nothing real exists. Every exhibit credits its sources and their licenses. - True: each exhibit is checked against written accuracy notes, steering around the common myths (a chrysalis is not a cocoon; T. rex never met people). Where scientists don't know yet, we say so. - Gentle: no scares, no gore, no explosions. Stages "drop away"; the old T. rex "lay down and went to sleep". - No ads, no accounts, no tracking of children: no analytics and no cookies. The front page keeps one note on the device so Ms Daisy doesn't repeat her welcome. Like any website, the host and the public code library that serves the 3D engine see ordinary request logs. - Hands-on first, screen second: a few minutes together, then out to the real thing. Every exhibit's plain-text version includes a hands-on idea to do afterwards. No streaks, points or rewards for staying on. - Secular and science-based; welcoming to all. ## How to cite or link - Please link to any exhibit page directly, and please don't re-host the exhibits: some of the scans are licensed for non-commercial educational use only. - Suggested citation: "The Frog", Bag of Wonder, Curiosity's Child (Troy, Michigan). https://bagofwonder.com/look-inside/frog/ - The words, stories and code are Curiosity's Child's. The 3D models, maps and photographs belong to their makers, under the licenses credited on each exhibit. ## Exhibits (live) Each link is the plain markdown version (the story, every tap card, accuracy notes, how to use it, credits); the interactive page follows. ### Space - [The Planets](https://bagofwonder.com/look-inside/planets/index.md): Fly past the Sun and all eight planets, and peek inside them.
